Steven Gerrard has blasted former Manchester united and  English midfielder Paul Scholes for insisting that Wayne Rooney had passed his best and has started to decline,He added on and said Rooney had a poor season,He went on and compared his former teammate to Manchester United player of the season goalkeeper David de Gea.That David had a better season than Rooney by far and Rooney has passed His pick.

Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard was offended by the comments made by His former international teammate and hit back on Rooney's behalf.The England captain said,"Paul Scholes is wrong He does not know what His talking about,Rooney has always been a great player,He has not declined in anyway and who ever is thinking that is wrong.He has been Manchester united's best player both in England and Europe.
The Manchester united striker only managed 19 goals in 40 appearances for the red devils last season,for a player of Rooney's qualities that was not 1 of his best seasons.The player is not yet a 100 per cent fit for the World cup but is working very hard in order to be mentally and physically fit for the World cup
