Chelsea plan to increase stadium capacity to 60 000

Chelsea have announced plans that could see Stamford Bridge enlarged to a 60,000 capicity from its previous 41,798.The increase in capacity would see Chelsea have the Premier league's third largest ground, behind Arsenal's Emirates and Manchester United's Old Trafford.Here is Chelsea's statement in full.

'A study of the area from Fulham Broadway town centre to Stamford Bridge and beyond has been commisioned by Chelsea Football Club's owner Roman Abramovich.'The study will review the potential for improvements to publicly owned areas along Fulham Road and the area around the football ground, including the possibility of decking over the railway lines to the east and north of the ground. This could create landscaped public walkways and cycleways, while reducing pedestrian traffic on Fulham Road on matchdays.

'The study will also assess the feasability of an expansion of the stadium within the existing historic site boundaries, potentially to enlarge the capacity, enhance its facilities and improve the movement of people and vehicles on matchdays.'As a first step, a consultation will take place with local shareholders, including community and residents' groups, for opinions on the existing consitions in the area.

'The consultation will not concern itself with any design or details of redevelopment on the stadium site. Fabregas reveals he has spoken to Arsene Wenger

The Spanish international said: "Arsenal was my first option for the contract clause [but] we talked with Wenger and my position was filled in his team.

Jose Mourinho has been interested in the Brazilian born striker for some time now.He is sure he can lure the striker to England.It will not be a surprise if we see Costa playing in blue next season.

seems Casilla is loosing his place at Madrid.With Diego Lopez being first choice in La Liga.Casillas only started two games for Madrid last season.The goalkeeper has not really given any hints about leaving the club.But Arsenal are the most interested in signing the goalkeeper.

With Real Madrid eyeing up a move for Jan Oblak. A Bola is claiming that Oblak, who currently plays for Benfica, could make the move to the Bernabeu if Casillas decides to end his time at the club.33-year old Casillas' journalist partner, Sara Carbonero, has previously denied claims that he is about to swap Spain for England, telling El Mundo: "I expect my future to be in Madrid, which is where I am now."

Boss Jose Mourinho has confirmed that Thibaut Courtois will not be sold

Belgium goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois will not be sold says Chelsea boss Mourinho.The young goalkeeper signed for Chelsea in 2011 and has spent the last three years in Spain at Atletico Madrid,and has developed in to arguably one of the best goal keepers right now.The goalkeeper told Chelsea that he wiill not return if it means playing second selection to Cech.

Mourinho has said that the young goalkeeper is going no were does that spell the end for Petr Cech.Speaking to Marca, Mourinho said: "When the World Cup in Brazil is over, Courtois will be coming straight back to Stamford Bridge - end of story."

Van Gaal prevented United's move for Fabregas

Manchester united manager Van Gaal is the one who pulled the plug on the Fabregas move.Cesc Fabregas was heavily linked with Manchester united and Manchester city before deciding to join Chelsea.New Manchester united boss was the one who actually told the united board they do not need the Spaniard.

Mourinho was interested in signing Southampton left back Luke Shaw but Luke Shaw seems to be more interested in moving to Manchester united than Chelsea.Mourinho needs to make a lot of transfers for defenders with only one year left on John Terry's contract.

Casillas apologizes for the defeat against Holland

Casillas had five goals past him against Holland that is Spain's heaviest defeat in a while.they consided  3 goals in 2010 and only two in the Euro 2012.And Casillas has chosen to take the blame for the game.Casillas only played to La Liga games and now people wonder if that's the reason Mourinho dropped the striker.

Vincente Del Bosque praised Casillas' professionalism and leadership, due to the fact that he apologised for those errors in the defeat in Salvador. 

“When I got to the dressing room Iker was talking to everyone in the midst of the silence, blaming himself for what happened and laying the foundations for the recovery that we need,” Del Bosque said, speaking at Spain’s training camp in Curitiba, to where the team had returned after the match in Salvador. “He showed what a good captain he was by doing that.”
