LIVERPOOL TARGET MARCELO

Liverpool coach Brendan Rodgers is targeting Real Madrid left-back Marcelo. At the moment Juventus has an upper hand against Liverpool over signing Marcelo.Marcelo's contract runs out next year,so its better that Madrid cash in on the defender now,so they can have more income to sign other players. The Red's have made a £16 million pound bid for the services of Sevilla left-back Alberto Moreno and are also said to be keen on signing Marcelo aswell. With rumors saying Glen Johnson might leave the club this summer Brendan Rodgers sees Marcelo as a suitable replacement.

Marcelo did not get as much playing time as He is used to,Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti prefers Fabio Coentrao's defensive qualities compared to the brazilians and the defender spent most of his time on the bench.Real Madrid are ready to let go of the defender. The Brazilian has not commented on the rumors yet,He is currently training with his Brazilian teammates preparing for the World cup,he would be such a great addition to the Liverpool squad if he decided to come to England.(soccerheatbase)
