French club Monaco has admitted they were interested in signing Chelsea left back Ashley Cole.Ashley Cole's contract with Chelsea has expired and he is now a free agent.Real Madrid and Monaco were the leading clubs to sign the left back but Monaco seem not to be interested in the left back anymore.
The left back still thinks he can compete at the highest level and was willing to leave Chelsea for Monaco but with the deal falling apart and no news from Real Madrid,who were also rumored to be interested in the full back,Cole might settle a club without champions league football.(soccerheatbase)
