Arsenal have rejected a bid from United for defender
Arsene Wenger has rejected a bid from rivals Manchester United for the captain Thomas vermaelen.The Belgium international, who has spent most of the season on Arsenal's bench due to Laurent Koscielny and Per Mertesacker, has grown frustrated with the lack of first-team football at the Emirates Stadium and is believed to be wanting out of the club this Summer.
Manchester united are rumored to have bid 6 million for the defender who's contract expires this time next year.Arsenal are expecting to let the defender go for at least 12 million pounds,but will Wenger be forced to let the player go,instead of loosing him on a free transfer next season.(soccerheatbase)
